Old Hen Café open at 88 Rangoon Road
The café is opened by the twin brothers.
I did have a chat with one of the brother.
Am wondering why the café named "Old Hen"?
The answer is simple "Easy to remember".
The owner of the café have put unwanted ceiling fan parts to good use.
First time visit a newly open café on the first day in operation.
Flat White
The coffee beans are from Oriole.
Mocha
The coffee art has room to improve further.
Buttermilk Waffles with fruits.
Buttermilk waffles must be eaten together with the toppings
so that the taste of the baling soda is not prominent.
The waffles need to be more crispy.
We were served with soft waffles.
Hope the owner will improve it during our next visit.
Old Hen Cold Brew.
Using Oriole's Raven blend.
Smooth, creamy, well balanced coffee.
Cold brew coffee is not the same as iced coffee.
Iced coffee is brewed hot, served with ice.
Cold brew coffee is coffee concentrate from coffee beans soaked in water for more than 12 hours
or more and diluted with milk.
Café Hopping Mission Completed.
Thumb up.
All orders were on a free-to-tip basis during our visit.
Good coffee and great hosts who warmly welcomed us when we stepped in.
Need to improve to make good waffles.
Will be back again when the café offering more foods and drinks for coffee lovers.
